Wild Things

As I was browsing through pictures of recent projects, it seemed to make sense to present these cakes and cupcakes together. In some ways they are all featuring wild creatures - you tell me if it works!

This first cake was inspired by a beautiful hand drawn invitation made by my talented client for her son's birthday. The invitation had a trio of black and white wild animals, wearing colorful birthday hats and holding balloons with their beaks or paws. So I then put my artsy skills to the test by painting paw prints all around the cake, then I added colorful details with the balloons and the hat topper.

And here is another wild bunch! I have received so many requests to do the Muppets before... but I could never commit since they are so many details to represent each character! I took the time to study them and look at how other cake decorators work their magic to bring to life all of their intricate features, and (a long while later) I did it!

And lastly, here are pictures of a recent safari animal cake and cupcake tower. These little animals are always so much fun to do, and they all look so good displayed on the tower!

Thanks for stopping by!
