In celebration of the queen’s jubilee, baking brand Dr. Oetker teamed up with “Cupcake Queen” Prudence Staite for a cupcake masterpiece: a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
The portrait required 2,012 cupcakes and used only Dr. Oetker baking products. Staite spent more than 300 hours in her Pamington, Gloucestershire, U.K., studio baking and decorating.
“I was excited to be given the chance to create such a meaningful portrait to celebrate the queen’s reign. I have been working with savory food and chocolate for years, but this was a whole new challenge,” said Staite in a statement.
