Cupcake Wars audition video and cupcakes by Sunday's contestants Blue Eyed Daisy
I was really touched that Palmetto, Georgia's Blue Eyed Daisy posted on our Facebook page that they're going to be on Cupcake Wars this Sunday night, June 17th, and that they found out about auditioning via our blog. Awww...Then I watched their audition video and it was hilarious so I wanted to share it along with some of their cupcakes. Via their Facebook page.

Military families: Cupcake Wars wants you! Here's the Cupcake Pilots video audition and spotlight
Cupcake Wars Season 7 is looking for military families to audition. Army Wife 101 posted:
I did a little looking around and discovered the Cupcake Wars audition video of Cupcake Pilots, a custom cupcake company based in Las Vegas whose tagline is "making your taste buds take flight." The owner's husband is a fighter pilot, hence their name. It's a fun video that talks a little about what it's like to be a military family and have to move every three years, and what their mission is when it comes to making cupcakes for their community and, if they win, to ship cupcakes to military bases. They're in the final round of the selection process, according to their latest Facebook update. Watch:
I got more information and these photos from their Facebook page. They can be reached at cupcakepilots at yahoo.com and they specialize in alcohol-based cupcakes from their bar menu, but also make non-alcohol ones. Descriptions via their Facebook page.
"Tequila Lime Cupcake with a Swiss Meringue Tequila Lime Frosting topped with corse sea salt, lime zest and a fresh lime wedge."
"This refreshing Banana Cream Pie cupcake has a rich vanilla wafer crust on the bottom of a white cake filled with a banana vanilla bean pudding frosted with a light chantilly cream, toasted coconut and a bruleed banana slice."
"This turtle cupcake starts with an airy chocolate cupcake filled with a homemade pecan carmel frosted with a carmel buttercream topped with toasted pecans then a drizzle of milk chocolate and salty caramel."
s'mores cupcake: "It starts with a homemade graham cracker crust, next is a layer of chocolate followed by a devils food cake topped with a toasted marshmallow frosting"
"Dark Chocolate Cupcake with a Blackberry Shiraz Coulis filling topped with a Blackberry Buttercream Frosting and a Shiraz soaked Blackberry rolled in raw sugar."
"This Chocolate Stout Cupcake starts with a rich chocolate cupcake infused with Guinness, it has a Vanilla Stout frosting topped with Chocolate Covered Pretzels."
"This White Russian Cupcake would satisfied even the Big Lebowski himself. It is a Kahlua and Vodka cupcake toped with a Kahlua buttercream frosting and chocolate shavings."
A casting associate for one of my favorite shows “Cupcake Wars” emailed me to let me know that they are seeking “Military Spouses” or people with a military connection who have a passion for baking. This can include military moms/dads/husbands etc. to appear on Season 7 of Cupcake Wars...You'll have to contact them to find out more.
If you are interested the deadline is NEXT WEEK so contact Lauren (casting associate) immediately for details.
