5 spicy cayenne cupcakes for Cinco de Mayo!

Posted by Unknown at 9:57 AM 0 comments
There are all sorts of ways to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with cupcakes; last year we gave you margarita cupcakes in margarita glasses (see all our margarita cupcakes here), churro cupcakes, Mexican hot chocolate cupcakes and a vegan black bean tamale cupcake with guacamole! This year, here are 5 spicy cayenne cupcakes; not all these cupcakes by blogger/bakers were created as homages to Cinco de Mayo but all are certain to provide a kick.

It comes after you swallow and it’s just a little burn. I like it, but if that’s not your thing, well, these are not the cupcakes you’re looking for."

Wasabi and White Chocolate Cupcakes

Posted by Unknown at 2:17 PM 0 comments

Wasabi? In cupcakes? I don't know much about Japanese food, but I know wasabi is really, really hot. These cupcakes were made by KatieCakes, and they have wasabi and white chocolate in them. She says the heat is "subtle", so I'm guessing the white chocolate helps balance it out. I'm not a fan of spicy foods, but I'd give wasabi a try if it was in cupcake form!

Want a buffalo wing and hot sauce cupcake? Cups n Cakes holds grand opening tomorrow, April 14th

Posted by Unknown at 10:44 AM 0 comments
Any day a new cupcake bakery is opening is a day to celebrate, so that makes tomorrow quite festive, with the opening of Cups 'n Cakes in Collegeville, Pennsylvania from 6-9 pm tomorrow night. They're holding a party and you're invited! See below for RSVP info. Via Phoenixville Dish, who write:
The timing presents you with the perfect opportunity to grab an early dinner and beer upstairs at ABC, then head down to the yummy Grand Opening to snag dessert, chat with the bakers about their unique operation and enjoy the welcoming space they have to offer.

You couldn’t ask for anything more than a place to enjoy ridiculously delicious sweets, but the enthusiastic baking duo is also whipping up entertainment for this party. On top of family, fun, food and frosting, there will be live music from The York Street Hustle! Word on the street is already spreading that it’s going to be a really sweet party so make sure you RSVP by calling 267-761-1714.

Here are some photos of their cupcakes from their Facebook page. What fun! FYI, I don't know exactly what flavors they'll have on hand at the grand opening, these are just some cupcakes that caught my eye.

I couldn't not start with the most outrageous, their buffalo wing cupcake! "our buffalo bruce: a hot sauce, sour cream, bleu cheese cup with a bleu cheese buttercream topped with a appalachian brewing company hot wing!"

handbag and high heel cupcakes for the fashion minded
